...my True Love gave to me! 139 reasons to jump for joy in anticipation of the season.
In all seriousness, now is the perfect time to begin to plan your holiday, well, er, planning!
The first step is to begin with a realistic list of what you'd like your Christmas season celebrating to include. Your list could include anything from scheduling time to attend a neighborhood light show to deciding which cookies you want to bake this year. And with the economy in the condition it's in this year, planning free to low-cost is not only important, but entire possible!!
Here are some ideas:
Visit a neighborhood light show. It's always fun and usually free. Most people who host lavish light and decorating displays open their yards and homes to the public, asking only a donation to a charity they support.
Bake Christmas Cookies! Food Network has a 12 Days of Cookies that you can email subscribe to. Or for those who are foodies, plan a menu of delicious Christmas to share with friends and family!
It's never too late to compile your shopping list for Christmas presents! Large family? Why not be the one to spearhead a Secret Santa roster for your brood? It's cost-effective, fun and an awesome bonding experience!
Plan ahead to volunteer for a local charity that touches your heart. With today's hectic work schedules, the thought of us volunteering is always close to our hearts, but doesn't fit into our time constraints. If you plan ahead, even 139 days ahead, you may find you have more time than you think!! And just imagine how awesome you'll feel doing it!!
Any other plan ahead list suggestions? Leave a comment and share!!
